Case Study #1: John
3 years experience, 3 days training.
John had a total of 3 years recruitment experience. Upon joining the firm 5 months ago he had quickly been able to deliver similar figures to the rest of the team; approximately 16 new CV’s/meetings per month.
However, John had been brought onboard to bring an extra dynamic to the team as opposed to just adopting the dynamic of the team. His performance had therefore been disappointing relative to his expected potential. John undertook 3 days of training alongside a more junior colleague and quick progress was made as John had great basic skills and understanding, and was keen to experience a different result.
On the third day, John received 11 CV’s, booked in 5 candidate meetings and 13 callbacks, and sent 15 follow-up emails! John is also enjoying the role much more than before and this performance has continued long after the training ended making him one of the firm’s most promising consultants. As John himself said ‘I wish I had had this training when I started my career – I feel I have wasted the last 3 years!’
